Mermaid Tears Festival Makeup

Who knew that sticky lip-gloss would make the best base and glue for loose glitter? Honestly sticks so well!

Let me tell you a little story of a girl who loves Halloween so much she will buy everything and anything to do with unusual makeup, this means weird lip colours, eyeshadow no normal person would wear and glitter, yes I bought glitter by the dozen. So you can imagine my surprise when it was time to spring clean all my makeup drawers and I ended up finding all the things I promised I’d use but never did.

But hey, at least the blue and gold glitter came into hand!

Products used –

Face: NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting primer to start off with, L’oreal True Match in shade 7.D/7.W Golden Amber, NYX Mineral Stick Foundation used as contour in the shade MSF13, Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer in the shade Ivory, Benefit Hoola Bronzer and Seventeen Instant Glow Shimmer Brick in Gold Bronze.

Eyes: I used the Kylie Burgundy Palette to create the eyeshadow in this look, New York shade in the lid, Brick on the outer lid/blending colour and finally I used the Burgundy shade to give it a pop of red. The blue eyeliner is now my favourite thing to wear, I used the KIKO Tropical Heat Eye Marker in the shade 03. And to contrast the blue, I used my all time favourite eyeliner from L’oreal, it’s the Super Liner Perfect Slim in the shade Intense Black.

Glitter: Purchased from Blush Sparkle, a local company from Birmingham, I used their Blue glitter with a few bits of their Gold glitter pop to make it even brighter.

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Chocolate.

Lashes: From Lashes On Fleek, find the ‘Faith’ lashes they are honestly amazing!

What do you think about this look?

Love, Angelyque xo
