Modern Renaissance Review

For as long as I can remember, I have lusted over this palette. Wishing to hold it in my arms and rock it to sleep. Obvs kidding, but to own this palette is like a dream come true. The pigmentation is immense, as is the quality of the shadows. Kudos to ABH for achieving such beauty.

So in case you haven’t heard about this palette, which is unlikely to be honest, it is an eyeshadow palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills which contains 14 individual colours ranging from nudes, champagnes, reds and pops of pink to create beautiful looks. It has been the hottest palette to own this year, you can honestly create so many looks with these eyeshadows.

Overall, there are a total of 12 matte eyeshadows, leaving just Primavera & Vermeer as a shimmer to bring out the other colours. Usually one would struggle to blend out such harsh colours, like Red Ochre, Venetian Red, Realgar & Love Letter but the useful blending brush it comes with serves a purpose and allows the shadows to pop without too much effort. As you can see, I’ve already used this palette a whole bunch and haven’t come to any problems, other than some colours not showing up on my skin colour, but this can be mended with a little water or setting spray on the tip of your brush to bring out pigmentation.

Tempera, Raw Sienna, Golden Ochre, Burnt Orange, Vermeer, Primavera, Buon Fresco, Red Ochre, Antique Bronze, Venetian Red, Love Letter, Warm Taupe, Cyprus Umber and Realgar.
